Faith Regional Announces Layoffs
NORFOLK - Efficiency in operations and ramifications over new federal health care reform are behind the layoffs of approximately 20 employees at Norfolk's Faith Regional Health Services. The Norfolk Daily News quotes CEO Jim Sinek as saying they look at employee restructuring when it appears they can gain in efficiency without sacrificing patient care. He says a likely decrease in Medicaid reimbursement under new federal health care reform is also being taken into consideration. Many of the layoffs are middle management positions.
