Explosive Detonated In Norfolk Neighborhood
NORFOLK - Norfolk Police are investigating the detonation of a small homemade explosive device in the 300 block of North 9th Street about 10:15 Sunday night. Police Captain Leon Chapman says the device was allegedly thrown from a vehicle onto the sidewalk. There was apparently no damage and no one was around the device when it exploded. Chapman says anyone having any information about who may have detonated this device is encouraged to call the Norfolk Police Division at 644-8700 or the Norfolk Area Crime Stoppers at 371-7300.
