Drug Court Agreement Renewed
MADISON - Madison County Commissioners have approved the renewal of an interlocal agreement with the state of Nebraska for the continuation of adult and juvenile drug courts here. The specialized court diverts non-violent, substance abusing offenders from prison and jail into treatment, help break the cycle of criminal behavior, alcohol and drug use, and incarceration. 7th Judicial District Chief Probation Officer Kathryn Liebers says two more drug court participants will go through a graduation ceremony Friday morning at the Madison County Courthouse.
