Dollar General May Build New Store at 1st Street, Norfolk Avenue
NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council has agreed to subdivide two lots on the northeast corner of 1st Street and Norfolk Avenue. That paves the way for the building of a Dollar General Store. Before the vote, council member Josh Moening wanted to make certain that a new Dollar General would be aesthetically pleasing and would help to attract more business and residential development in the historic Old Mill area. The City's prevention manager, Trent Howard told the council he's been in contact with Dollar General officials and that they've designed a building that is "being upgraded from what they would build elsewhere."
