Derailment Near Area Community
MONROE (AP) - No injuries have been reported in a derailment near Monroe in Platte County. Only two cars of a 134-car train left the tracks around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Some street crossings were blocked for several hours. The Nebraska Central Railroad reports the derailment was cleared by 3 p.m. Sunday.
