"Dangerous Situation" In Area Towns
CLEARWATER - Clearwater and Neligh have been hit hard by floodwaters from the Elkhorn River. Region 11 Emergency Manager Faythe Petersen says disaster declarations have been made in that area. She says Riverside Park in Neligh is under water and and the swinging bridge there has been lost. In Clearwater, Petersen tells 106 KIX NEWS the north side of community is in a "dangerous situation" of being lost. She says 10,000 sandbags have been used in that area and thousands more are being brought in.
