Council Candidate Withdraws From Race
NORFOLK - A candidate for Norfolk City Council is withdrawing from the race. Chad Korth had filed as a candidate for the Ward 3 seat on the council that currently is held by Ivan Van Dyke, who is not seeking re-election. But Korth tells the Norfolk Daily News he and his family made the decision to move out of the Norfolk city limits to a farm in the Meadow Grove area. The remaining candidates in the race are Bob DeHaes, Dave Hedrick and Rob Merrill. The two with the most votes Tuesday will advance to the November general election. Korth said he would encourage Ward 3 voters to cast their ballots for the candidate they think is best capable to represent them in office.
