Corps Assess Norfolk Bridge Damage

NORFOLK - Representatives of the Army Corps of Engineers were in Norfolk Monday night assessing the area where a railroad bridge collapsed in the Elkhorn River last week. Mayor Sue Fuchtman said Tuesday morning Corps officials said they are well aware of what's going on in southwest Norfolk. She says she received a call late last night from the agency's Regulatory Division indicating they would like the applications needed for a permit that will allow local officials to take the action needed to  restore the bridge.
