City Of Norfolk Budget Approved

NORFOLK - The City of Norfolk's municipal budget is down about $5 million dollars over last year. City Finance Officer Randy Gates told the City Council Tuesday night, the property tax requirement, which makes up just 10 percent of the $73.2 million budget, will stay about the same this year. He says on a $100,000 dollar house, the city's share of property tax drops by a nickel. No one spoke for or against the city budget at last night's meeting.
