City Council Approves Municipal Budget

NORFOLK - An economic development plan approved by Norfolk citizens in May is reflected in the city's next fiscal year budget. City Finance Director Randy Gates says 400,000 dollars will be budgeted annually for the LB 840 economic development program. He told the City Council Monday night Norfolk would still have the fourth lowest property tax levy compared to about 30 first class cities in Nebraska. The Council unanimously approved the budget.
