Charges Upgraded In Area Murder
OMAHA - (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting his former girlfriend on the Santee Sioux reservation in northeast Nebraska is now facing a first-degree murder charge. Shanon Thomas had been charged with second-degree murder. Authorities say Thomas shot Dawn Starlin hours after she was accused of vandalizing the home of the woman Thomas currently dates.
