Big 10 Welcomes Nebraska To The Family
LINCOLN (AP) - The Big Ten is bringing in its first new member in 20 years. Nebraska has applied for membership and the Big Ten has accepted Nebraska's application, effective July first, 2011. Chancellor Harvey Perlman tells Nebraska regents he believes the university is much more "aligned" with the Big Ten than the Big 12 when it comes to academics, culture and athletics.
