Battle Creek Man Arrested after One Vehicle Accident
NORFOLK - A 23-year-old Battle Creek man faces several charges after being arrested early this morning in Norfolk. Norfolk Police Captain Leon Chapman says Jacob Rakowsky was arrested shortly after 2 a.m. on charges of fourth offense drunk driving with a blood alcohol level in excess of .150, driving under suspension, possession of a controlled substance, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident. Chapman says Rakowsky was the driver of a vehicle involved in a one-vehicle accident in the 2900 block of the Highway 275 Bypass. Officers recovered an open can of beer in the car, and methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia when they searched Rakowsky.
