Area Woman Sought Following Son's Death

LYONS (AP) - An arrest warrant has been issued for a Nebraska woman in a crash that killed her 4-year-old son near Lyons in Burt County. Officials say Megan Douglas, 24, of Oakland, was driving south on U.S. Highway 77 when she lost control of her car and collided with another vehicle on Jan. 11. Her son, Zachery, was killed. Investigators say Douglas was driving drunk and speeding before the crash. Douglas is charged with child abuse resulting in death, motor vehicular homicide, DUI and several traffic violations. An arrest warrant was issued for Douglas last week. Court records list no attorney for her.
