Area Community Suffers Storm Damage
PIERCE - An area community is cleaning up after strong thunderstorms passed through early Sunday morning. Pierce City Administrator Chad Anderson says the storm caused numerous trees limbs to fall, there were some scattered power outages and roads were blocked for a time. He tells WJAG NEWS a shelter house in Gilman Park also sustained some damage. Emergency Management also reports one building in Pierce had its roof blown off, a center pivot overturned, trampolines flipped and hail damage to crops.
