106 KIX Earns Broadcast Honors

LINCOLN - 106 KIX Radio in Norfolk has been honored by the Nebraska Broadcasters Association with several broadcast awards of excellence. The station earned five Gold -- or first place awards -- three silvers and one bronze in a competition against other radio stations across Nebraska. 106 KIX earned Gold Awards in Service to Community Public Service or Program Series; in Service to Children Program or Series; in Service to Business, Industry, Government or Education; in Best In-Depth or Investigative Story or Series; and in Best 60-Second Commercial Spot Announcement or Campaign. The station took Silver Awards in Service to Children Program or Series; in Best Spot News; and in Best Newscast. The bronze award was in Service to Community Public Service Announcements. The awards were presented Thursday night at the NBA's annual convention in Lincoln.
