SNOW EMERGENCY: City of Madison - residents are encouraged to use off-street parking, where available, and are reminded that any vehicle parked on a city street must be moved off the street within 12 hours after a snowfall.  Any vehicle remaining on a city street may be towed and stored at the owner's expense.

 

 

SNOW EMERGENCY:  SID #1 Woodland Park is declaring a Snow Emergency effective 5pm Friday Feb 3rd through the weekend-till further notice.  No Parking allowed on either side of the street.

  • Norfolk High School freshman wrestling at the Millard South Invite on Saturday has been canceled
  • Northeast Community College men's and women's basketball games with Lamars Community College on Saturday in Norfolk have been postponed to a later date. The Parent/Booster Appreciation Night has been postponed to February 24th.
  • The Norfolk Junior High Girls' Basketball tournament at Wilson/Kirn in Council Bluffs on Saturday, Feb 4 has been canceled.  At this time, games have not been rescheduled.
  • Norfolk Panther Freshman Girls and Boys Basketball at Millard North on Saturday Feb 4th  postponed to a later date. TBA
  • Zion Lutheran School in Pierce Girls Basketball Tournament for Saturday Feb 4th is postponed to Sunday Feb 5th beginning at noon.
  • The start time for the Stanton Bronco wrestling tournament on Sunday, Feb 5th has been moved BACK 2 hours.
  • The East Husker Conference Wrestling Tournament for Saturday in North Bend canceled.
  • Start times for the Cyclone Youth Wrestling Tournament at Clearwater have been pushed back two hours today. Weighs begin at 10:30 am. Wrestling starts at 11:30.
  • Cornhusker Conference Tournament games, today (Saturday, Feb. 4th), at Central Community College, have been cancelled and WILL NOT be made-up
  • Mid-States Conference Tournament post-poned to Monday night - championship round at Wayne St. @ 6:15 & 7:45...3rd & 4th place will be at Wayne High School @ 6:15 & 7:45...5th & 6th place will be at Norfolk Catholic @ 6:15 & 7:45
  • The East Husker Conference Basketball Tournament has been postponed from today, Feb. 4, 'til Monday, Feb. 6, at Pender - beginning at 6pm.  Stanton boys will play North Bend at approxiamately 7:45pm.

  • Sylvan Learning Centers in Norfolk and Columbus will be closed Saturday 
  • Yoga, Plates Studio morning classes today are canceled
  • Pieceful Pastime, in Norfolk, will be closed on Saturday

  • The Winside Public Schools Speech Meet scheduled for today (Saturday) has been postponed.
  • The Bancroft Rosalie Speech Meet has been postponed from today to Feb 18th.
  • Stanton Jr. High Honor Vocal/Band Clinic scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.
  • The Northeast Nebraska MATH-COUNTS Competition scheduled for today at the Central Community College in Columbus has been postponed to February 18th. (Many area schools may have been participating in this event)
  • The Saturday evening dance scheduled for 9 p.m.at the Elkhorn Valley gym in Tilden has been postponed to a later date.
  • Ohlrichs-Felt Annual Bull Sale is post-poned to Thursday, Feb. 9th, @ 1pm
  • The sweetheart dance tonight at Lutheran High Northeast has been called off
  • The Knights of Columbus District 17 Free-Throw Championship for Sun., Feb. 5th, in Norfolk, has been moved from the Norfolk Catholic Activity Center to Burns Hall.  Check-in is @ 1:30pm.  This involves Creighton, Neligh, Pierce & Norfolk Council Champions
