9:00 am - MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and a new charter - MOMSnext (Mothers of kids 1st grade and up) - will be starting soon in Stanton. These two groups will be having their kick off meeting on September 14th from 9am to 11:15am and will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month through the month of May, at the Evangelical Free church at 500 8th Street in Stanton. Moms will enjoy brunch and coffee a speaker or DVD presentation, crafts, door prizes, and small group discussion. 11:30am - 5:30pm - The American Red Cross Blood Station in Norfolk takes blood donations each Tuesday from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm at 1603 Prospect Ave, on the north side of Faith Regional Health Services East Campus. For appointments call 371-7895. Walk-ins are welcome.

4:00 pm - The Osmond General Hospital is offering The LEARN Program for Weight Management in September. Classes start Tuesday, September 14th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and a second class will be offered from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a 12 week class held in Osmond General Hospital's Cardiac Rehab Room. Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, Relationships, and Nutrition are key components to being successful with permanent weight loss and becoming a healthier person. Call for more info -748-3393

7:00 - 8:00pm - The Norfolk Area Alzheimer's Support Group will meet Tuesday at 7 pm at the Norfolk Veterans Home. The group meets the 2nd Tuesday each month and all those interested, or are care givers for Alzheimer's patients are welcome to attend. For more information call 370-3160. (Group does not meet in December)

7:30 pm - Standup Parenting Group will meet each Tuesday at 7:30 pm at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Norfolk. The group offers self help information for parents troubled by unacceptable behavior of their pre-teen, teen or adult children.
