8:00 am - The Norfolk Archery Club will host a Whitetails Unlimited 3-D archery tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Sep. 11 and 12. The tournament is open to the public. Registration for both days is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held at the club's outdoor range located south of Norfolk on U.S. Highway 81. Turn west on North Airport Rd, go ¼ mile, then turn south at the Norfolk Archery Club sign and follow the trail.

9:30 am - The Boots and Saddle Club will have their Annual 2 day Open Horse Show on Saturday and Sunday at the Carney Park Arena in South O'Neill. Registration at 9:30 am Saturday, with a hamburger fry that evening. Church service on Sunday at 9:00 am. Both days are separate events. Spectators cordially invited- no charge. 2010-09-11T13:00:00 WSC Armed Services Appreciation Day
1:00 pm - The Wayne State College athletic department will be holding Armed Services Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 11th in conjunction with the Wildcats' home football game vs. Minnesota, Crookston. The game, scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne, is a perfect opportunity to recognize current and past military personnel for their service to our country. The 189th Transportation Company from Wayne and Norfolk, approximately 150 service men and women, will attend the game. There will also be veterans from the Norfolk Veterans Home attending the game, five of which are Wayne State College alumni. For ticket information 402-375-7520.
