2010-09-14T Storytime at Norfolk Public Library
Stories, songs and fun activities in English and Spanish are featured at "Storytime" at the Norfolk Public Library each Thursday at 1:30 pm, Fridays at 10:30 am and Saturdays at 10:45 am. Storytime is designed for children age 3 through grade 2. Parents are asked to remain in the Library during Storytime and are welcome to attend with the children. Times may vary, call for details.

6:00 - 9:00pm - The public is invited to final Cruise Night of the season this Thursday September 9th from 6 to 9 pm at Sonic on the 275 bypass in Norfolk. All makes and models are welcome to this informal relaxing get together for car and truck enthusiasts. Sponsored by Norfolk Area Rod and Custom and local sponsors. (rain date is the following Thursday night)

6:00 - 8:00pm - A new exhibit will open at the Norfolk Arts Center on Thursday, September 9th and will be on display until Friday, October 29th, 2010. "Going Back: Midwestern Farm Places," a photography exhibit by Nancy Warner (of San Francisco, CA) will be on display in the gallery and atrium. There is a free exhibit reception scheduled for Thursday, September 9th from 6pm - 8pm. All exhibit receptions are open and free for the public to attend.

7:00 pm - The Norfolk Senior Citizens Center holds Bingo every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. Bingo is open to the public and everyone age 18 and older is welcome to play.

7:30 pm - Beulah Chapter #40, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet Thursday, September 9 th at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall in Norfolk.

7:30 pm - Well-known Christian singer, Dallas Holm, will be in concert at Faith, Hope & Love Fellowship, 504 Oak ST, Creighton NE, on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 PM. There is free admission, but a love offering will be received. For more info call Pastor Casey Nelson (402) 847-3400.

7:30 pm - The Cuming County 4-H Council will hold their September meeting on Thursday at 7:30 pm in the Courthouse meeting room in West Point.

8:00 pm - The Norfolk Oddfellow Lodge meet each Thursday night at 8 pm in the Temple, located at 4th and Norfolk Avenue. Stag Night is the first Thursday each month at 6:30 pm, and Family Night is the third Thursday each month at 6:30 pm. For more information call 379-1010.
